Set up of sampling and monitoring equipment this includes calibration of field equipment Maintenance of equipment (cleaning and repair) Conduct or assist with environmental sampling - may include groundwater, surface water, or soil Complete field logs with all required information Set up field screening equipment/instruments (OVA Meter, GPS Trimble Unit, etc.), collect field data, and document readings Read and interpret field/site maps, document site conditions/changes Document field activities with daily reports and pictures Properly pack samples and coordinate the delivery of samples to the laboratory Operate remediation/dewatering systems, maintain components (pumps, etc.), collect necessary samples for screening. Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain) Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds) Frequent bending, twisting, and standing Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week, including weekend assignments as required.
