Specialized experience includes: Coordinating, planning, implementation, and training staff on administrative patient support functions; Conducting analysis using analytical and evaluative techniques/methods to identify, review and resolve issues affecting the delivery of healthcare services, such as patient registration, scheduling, consult tracking, patient wait times, etc. and resolving problems that impact the efficiency of operations for services provided; Performing analysis on utilization reports and trend data, and identifies strategies to improve access, reduce administrative burdens, capture workload, and manage resources; Planning and formulating budget requirements, monitoring resource utilization, and preparing justification for monetary needs based on projected clinic workload or program needs. The Department of Veterans Affairs performs pre-employment reference checks as an assessment method used in the hiring process to verify information provided by a candidate (e.g., on resume or during interview or hiring process); gain additional knowledge regarding a candidates abilities; and assist a hiring manager with making a final selection for a position.
