This position may be responsible for a variety of duties, including patient outreach to schedule appointments, patient outreach for medication adherence support, using payor and internal data to identify patients with medication-related needs, processing medication refills according to protocols, providing customer service, communicating with providers and office staff in person and via the EMR, documenting in the EMR, medication prior authorization assistance, working with patients and health care teams for patient medication assistance guidance, and other duties as assigned. Facilitates a high level of customer/patient service by working with patients for medication assistance guidance, including communicating with patients about refill status, provider appointments, adherence, PAP programs, etcCommunicating and collaborating with providers and office staff in person and via the EMRConducts Pharmacy benefit checks at the providers requestsObtains prior authorizations from intermediaries and payers, including managed care companies, insurance companies or others as appropriate.
