Public Health Nurse - WIC (Health Services)

This means exemption from this policy is in effect for the following departments and positions: (1) Sheriff Deputy Patrol Officers, Deputy Jailers and Dispatchers, employed by the Sheriff Department, (2) Correction Officers employed by the Division of Corrections, (3) Firefighters, Paramedics and Dispatchers employed by the Shelby County Fire Department. Performs reproductive health physical assessments (female and male) and appropriate diagnostic procedures, prescribes treatment for uncomplicated reproductive health-related medical problems, provides referral(s) (as indicated), provides reproductive health education and counseling, and follow-up care.

Nurse Practitioner A - Reproductive Health (Health Services)

This means exemption from this policy is in effect for the following departments and positions: (1) Sheriff Deputy Patrol Officers, Deputy Jailers and Dispatchers, employed by the Sheriff Department, (2) Correction Officers employed by the Division of Corrections, (3) Firefighters, Paramedics and Dispatchers employed by the Shelby County Fire Department. Educates patients and families on Hepatitis B transmission and prevention and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure appropriate care coordination, follow-up, and optimal outcomes for both mothers and newborns.

Charge Nurse - Perinatal Hepatitis B (Health Services)

Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents. Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off or the password protected automatic screen-saver activates within established facility policy guidelines.
