Demonstrates leadership behaviors and is committed to the development of self and others.\n Participates in unit meetings and activities that improve patient care or administrative systems Utilizes available resources to maintain current knowledge base relevant to practice\n \n\n Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills, promoting collaboration among healthcare team members\n \n\n Demonstrates ability to critique own nursing practice and achieves required certifications or Bachelor's Degree\n \n\n Earns a minimum of 10 contact hours per year\n \n\n \n\n \nLicensure:\n\n Nurse, Registered (RN)\n \n\n A valid driver's license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.\n \n\n \nEducation/Experience Required:\n\n Graduate from an accredited school of nursing\n \n\n Earn 10 continuing education credits annually\n \n\n One year of medical surgical experience\n \n\n Has as demonstrated proficiency for the requirements for RN role\n \n\n \nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:\n\n Good communication and interpersonal skills\n \n\n Good documentation skills.\n \n\n Computer skills\n \n\n Good time management and organizational skills\n \n\n Familiarity with patient care equipment\n \n\n Current Illinois RN license\n \n\n Current CPR\n \n\n \nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\n\n Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts in order to accommodate staffing\n \n\n Ability to take "on call" assignments.\n \n\n Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work within short timeframes.\n \n\n Ability to transport objects, patients, and equipment\n \n\n Ability to respond quickly to patient needs and work at fast pace\n \n\n Work environment includes probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous, or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sick\n \n\n Routinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patients\n \n\n Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner and access all areas of the unit\n \n\n Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly\n \n\n Must be able to travel to all areas within the Advocate service area in all extremes of weather on all types of roads.\n \n\n Exposed to widely varying social and environmental conditions in patient's neighborhoods and homes.\n \n\n Must be willing to work occasional overtime if needed.
