Must meet the Company's requirements as to General Qualifications, in accordance with the Section of the Foreword of the Job Manual entitled "General Qualifications," and, in addition: Must have satisfactorily completed an Electrical Apprentice Program, or the equivalent; Must have a thorough working knowledge of: Applied electricity and electronics including A.C. and D.C. electrical circuits, machinery, measurements and calculations; The layout, construction, functions and operation of the electrical equipment and circuit connections of the Station; The electrical maintenance, repair and construction procedures and practices of the Station; Safe rigging and scaffolding practices and the use and care of tackle hoists and ladders required in the work; Must meet the Company's requirements as to General Qualifications and, in addition: Prior experience is not an absolute requirement; however, prior related experience will be considered when comparing applicants; Must be a graduate of an accredited High School or have a GED; Must pass and stay current in training; Must have the ability to receive, interpret and act on orders and instruction in a manner that will obtain safe and satisfactory work results; Must be able to properly use electrical tools and precision instruments in the conduct of maintenance; Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing; Must be capable of performing strenuous work in confined areas, where required; Must have good manual dexterity, normal color perception and vision correctable to 20/30; and. Properly preparing records used in connection with the work; Reporting abnormal conditions observed, such as: abnormal operating conditions, safety conditions, and security violations; Using hand tools to prepare, fabricate, and otherwise repair electrical components structural components; Ensuring that the work area and equipment are in good order and cleaned up after completion of work; Following safe work practices and adhering to all Station and Company procedures for Industrial and Radiation Safety; Maintaining proficiency as a Nuclear Apprentice Electrician by meeting the established requalifications and continuing training requirements; Completing the Nuclear Journeyman Electrician Qualification within four years of initial hire to Nuclear Apprentice Electrician; Complying with the applicable Station Procedures in the performance of the Duties; and.
