There are opportunities for board-eligible or certified pediatricians to join the Baylor College of Medicine Faculty, Section of Critical Care Medicine as Instructors, working in multiple ICUs [pediatric intensive care units and cardiac intensive care units at Texas Children's Hospital Medical Center. We have 92 PICU beds that are organized into a surgical ICU, a neuro ICU, a transitional ICU (specifically for medically complex children with home medical equipment requirements), and 3 medical ICUs (one specializing in pulmonary pathology and the other in Heme/Onc/BMT). Summary The section of critical care medicine in the department of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting for a 1-year clinical instructor position to focus on critically ill patients in the Cardiac ICU. The mission is to provide focused training and scholarship opportunities to Cardiology and/or Pediatric Critical Care Board Eligible/Certified physicians in the management of critically ill patients in the CICU. DeBakey Department of Surgery is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to provide high quality critical care services under the direction of a physician at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. Provide guidance and work direction to support staff, including, but not limited to nurses, medical assistants, and unit managers. The Division of Critical Care Medicine, in the Department of Pediatrics, is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of attending critical care physicians, advanced practice providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants), postdoctoral fellows, and research support personnel committed to the care of patients suffering from a life-threatening illness or injury. Texas Children's Hospital is one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the United States, comprised of 170 intensive care beds spread across four campuses and is the affiliated hospital of Baylor College of Medicine.
