The ideal candidate will possess the appropriate education and experience related to the design and construction of potable water conveyance systems; demonstrate the ability to prepare, oversee, coordinate, and review the work of professional and technical personnel; be able to efficiently perform accurate engineering calculations and cost estimates; be proficient in preparing and reviewing complex plans, specifications, legal documents, technical reports, and studies in order to make data-based decisions; and have strong interpersonal as well as communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this class, the incumbent is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve complex problems; use math/mathematical skills; perform highly detailed work under changing, intensive deadlines, on multiple, concurrent tasks; work with constant interruptions; and interact with officials, outside engineers, developers and the public.
