This course is not intended for the entry-level clinician but to challenge experienced providers to perform in-depth assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, blood chemistry, radiologic, and EKG, and determine invasive care, intubation, RSI, chest tube, thoracostomy, determination of ventilator settings, and IABP, beyond the traditional scope of practice. Ensure proper communication of any safety issue Accurately convey information on patients during handoff following report guidelines such as SBAR and DeMIST Have a working knowledge of radio systems and equipment, med-com operations, and physician communication Have a functional knowledge of just culture and performance improvement within the healthcare system.
