p>The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Responsible for the operation of all equipment; • Responsible for performing accurate vision screenings; • Test patients far acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception; • Test patients field of vision, including central and peripheral vision for defects; • Examine eyes using slit lamp, for abnormalities of cornea, and anterior and posterior chambers; • Provide information to the patient/family regarding their disease process, diagnostic procedures, and/or surgery.
To be considered for this position, the candidate must be a graduate of an accredited high school, must be working toward an ophthalmology technician certification, and previous ophthalmology experience or some experience in a related field is preferred.
