li>Personal assistance services, as defined in TAC 40 Chapter 97 §97.2, may be performed by an unlicensed person who is at least 18 years of age and has demonstrated competency, when competency cannot be determined through education and experience, to perform the tasks assigned by the supervisor. Responsible for monitoring client environment and identifying any potential safety hazards; takes appropriate actions to eliminate hazard or reports potential hazard to supervisor.
Caregivers can also enjoy playing games, attending local events, and providing companionship for the seniors in their care in order to help seniors live a happy and complete life. We hire Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Home Health Aides (HHA), Home Companions, and Personal Care Aides to provide non-medical home care services for their clients.
A key part of this position is helping our clients stay connected with the outside world by taking them to appointments, social outings, or helping them run errands. Personal Care Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, nail /skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair, walker, crutches, cane), change of position, with toileting, commode, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding. Perform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.
