Academic Advisors serve as a resource to all prospective and current students within the College (undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, and graduate).Academic advisors are required to be familiar with overall Department of Education and Board of Trustees policies and procedures that govern the matriculation process (e.g., general education, Gordon Rule, transfer admissions requirements, registration processes, class scheduling, graduation, etc.) as well as appropriate student referral sources (e.g., academic support services, career services) to facilitate student success. - Serve as a resource and student liaison to academic department chairpersons, the Deans office and other student support service departments on campus (e.g., Enrollment Services, Dean of Students, Graduate School, Career Services, other UNF advising offices).
