Provide treatment and physicals, to sick or injured patients. Document and report observations and any treatment provided.</div></div><div><div> </div></div><div><div>Responsibilities:</div></div><ul><li><div>Take pertinent histories and perform examinations relevant to patient complaint and presentation along with performing routine human resource functions such as physicals, return to work, and fitness for duty evaluations.</div></li><li><div>Order and interpret results of routine laboratory tests, including CBC's, Blood chemistries, UA's and any other pertinent diagnostic labs deemed necessary for evaluation.</div></li><li><div>Order and interpret routine radiological studies, pulmonary function tests and audiograms.</div></li><li><div>Establish medical diagnoses and determine a plan of care and treatment.</div></li><li><div>Refer patients for appropriate follow up care when indicated.</div></li><li><div>Deliver and document all aspects of patient care according to standards set forth by Prime Occupational Medicine</div></li><li><div>Provide patient healthcare teaching and counseling relevant to presenting problems.</div></li><li><div>Document discharge instructions and summarization.</div></li><li><div>Other clinical services deemed to be appropriate for the services of the patients under the NP's care, within the NP's scope of practice.</div></li><li><div>The APP will practice with the supervision of an approved SP, which involves either being on site or readily available via telecommunications</div></li></ul><div><div>Qualifications/Skills:</div></div><ul><li><div>Ability to prioritize decision and act quickly in the best interest of of the patient</div></li><li><div>Focus</div></li><li><div>Organizational skills</div></li><li><div>Self disciplined</div></li><li><div>Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and medications</div></li><li><div>Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions</div></li><li><div>Adaptable with a great deal of stamina</div></li><li><div>Excellent working knowledge of medical equipment and devices</div></li><li><div>Integrity and compassion towards human pain</div></li><li><div>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness</div></li><li><div>Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of a clinic procedures and policies</div></li><li><div>Advanced knowledge of occupational medicine is strongly preferred</div></li><li><div>Must be available for after-hours call coverage</div></li><li><div>Active APP license in the state of Texas is required</div></li></ul><div><div> </div></div><div><div>Physical Demands: Standing and walking long distances for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 75 pounds. Good vision. Kneel, bend, or work in awkward positions. Must be physically coordinated to perform required tasks to precision. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
