Metrics may include, but are not limited to: - Buyer productivity – volume, value, turns, and overstock;
- Adherence to category management guidelines or demand plans that ensure preferred vendor relationships and products are core to every buying decision;
- Inventory balance granular to ordering characteristics and aged profile;
- Maintain vender relationships including service level and On Time and In Full (OTIF);
- Identification and capture of opportunities for one-time PBIT improvements;
- Negotiate will all levels of supplier contacts including key challenges in price, availability, lead time, and freight;
- Open to learning, coachable, and willing to volunteer to test new approaches.
- Communicate with global manufacturers and suppliers regarding orders, inventory and delivery timelines;
- Support supply through product selection, development, and sourcing;
- Monitor pricing, terms and KPIs with manufacturers and suppliers;
- Monitor inventory levels/inventory control among multiple warehouses and ensure maximum efficiency of warehouse space;
- Be a strong team member with peers and other key internal stakeholders, including purchasing, operations, warehouse, finance and sales;
- Deliver the on the KPI/metrics and objectives, ensuring that all actions are in sync with plan defined by local leadership.
