This includes, but is not limited to, electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based protective relays; indicating and kWh/kW metering; recording devices such as sequence of events recorders and digital fault recorders; and control systems associated with breakers, transformers, regulators, capacitors, reactors, and related substation apparatus. Under supervision, the trainee participates in diagnostic and analytical testing of substation equipment, including power factor testing, transformer turns ratio testing, insulation resistance (megger) testing, and other assigned evaluations.
