Key Responsibilities: • Perform precision assembly and disassembly of prototype and production rotary engines • Inspect and measure machined components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools • Identify and resolve mechanical issues during engine build processes • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, components, and consumables • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop and lab areas • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and shop infrastructure • Collaborate closely with engineers and other technicians to support design iterations and testing • Document build procedures, discrepancies, and improvements for continuous process optimization. Qualifications: Proven mechanical aptitude from automotive, aerospace, machining, or similar hands-on technical fields Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality workmanship Familiarity with hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and shop equipment Experience with rotary or internal combustion engines is a plus Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a workshop setting.
