Duties: The Parks Worker I position performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of City parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities. Collects litter and debris from parks, playgrounds, trails, and other public areas by hand; fills and removes trash bags (averaging approximately ten filled bags per person each morning).
p>Environment: Work outside and inside: exposure to hot and cold temperatures; work with high temperature and low temperature equipment; work in confined space; work with high pressure and high voltage equipment.
