Application Specialist SMC CORPORATIONApplication SpecialistBoston, MAParticipate in a monthly conference call to provide application success storiesFocus on identifying and closing major revenue-producing projectsBe involved with key accounts and their projects directlyThis includes being acquainted with the various buying influences at these accounts and the technical requirements for the introduction of specific SMC productsIdentify all specifications and regulatory needs at the customer level, and be able to relay their needs accurately and completely to the appropriate SMC Engineer or Product SpecialistProvide continuous training to sales employees, customers, and distributors on products and applicationsThis may include assisting the SMC training group with local presentations of training coursesDocument and/or monitor sales activity in SMC's CRM systemAssist sales employees in detailed technical presentations to all levels of customersComplete all other duties as prescribed by sales management as necessary. Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of three (3) years of sales and/or technical field experience with SMC or equivalent industryExperience with or knowledge of competitive products and applicationsDemonstrated ability to size and implement our newest "high-tech" productsExtensive SMC Application knowledgeExtensive experience with various manufacturing products and processes, including (but not limited to) the following: packaging, electronics, food, chemical, automotive and medicalFluid Power Pneumatic Specialist Certification preferredProficient in the use of computers and ability to learn new programs and tools as requiredClean driving record.
