A Maintenance/HVAC Specialist is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within a building or facility, ensuring optimal comfort levels and air quality by identifying and resolving issues with equipment like furnaces, chillers, air handling units, and ventilation systems, often including tasks like filter replacements, cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and electrical component repairs; they may also perform minor building maintenance tasks as needed. Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
