Own and manage the full end-to-end payroll process for employees, including payroll calculations, processing, deductions, garnishments, and reconciliations; Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations; Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies; Prepare, review, and analyze payroll reports, including overtime, labor costs, tax filings, and benefit deductions; Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll questions, resolving issues related to pay, taxes, deductions, and benefits; Partner closely with HR and Finance to ensure employee data, benefit elections, and payroll records are accurate and up to date; Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and ensure compliance; Support payroll system updates, enhancements, and testing in partnership with IT and vendors; Stay informed on changing payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and industry best practices; Assist in training and mentoring payroll team members as needed. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a high-volume or complex payroll environment; Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, garnishments, and multi-state compliance requirements; Proven experience managing payroll operations with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality; Experience using payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms; Advanced Excel and payroll reporting skills preferred; Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across HR, Finance, and employees at all levels; Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving payroll issues.
