Position Summary
The Benefits Specialist reports to the Employee Benefits Manager and is responsible for the planning, coordination, and administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and pension plans.
Desirable Qualification: A certification such as Public Sector HR Association Certified Professional or Senior Certified Professional (PSHRA-CP/SCP, formerly IPMA-CP/SCP), Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute is highly desirable.
