Responsibilities on the University's Main, Health Sciences, West Research Campuses, and satellite locations associated with ECU programs include major and minor renovations and construction; corrective and preventive maintenance and repairs by utilities services (controls, electrical, HVAC, life safety, plumbing, central steam and chilled water operations), building services (carpentry, locksmith, masonry, paint, roofing), automotive services; maintenance of grounds by grounds services, recycling, refuse removal, sustainability; moving services and housekeeping services support of academic, administrative, athletic, classroom, clinical, dining, laboratory, library, performing arts, and residence life spaces. This involves highly technical work in the installation, set-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of moderately complex to complex building systems (i.e. Field Controller Networks (FCN), Air handling units (AHUs), terminal units Variable air volume (VAV) and Constant air volume (CAV), exhaust fans, chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, energy recovery units, etc., motor drives (VFD) and instrumentation installation and calibration.
