What You’ll Do Develop and improve CNC machining processes for production parts Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam Create and modify models, drawings, fixtures, and manufacturing designs using SolidWorks Select tooling, inserts, workholding, speeds, and feeds Reduce cycle times, setup times, scrap, and rework Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, quality, and process issues Partner directly with CNC setup operators, programmers, quality personnel, and production leadership Review part drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements Develop fixtures and workholding solutions Create and maintain setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation Support first-piece approvals and resolve issues identified during inspection Evaluate existing jobs for opportunities to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions Ensure processes comply with AS9100, customer, and internal requirements Required Qualifications Proficiency in Mastercam Proficiency in SolidWorks Experience in a CNC machining or precision-manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes Experience improving CNC milling and/or turning operations Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T Working knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, workholding, and inspection methods Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, quality personnel, and production leaders Strong organizational and technical-documentation skills A bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
