Requirements: Medical Assistant certification or relevant experience Experience in a clinical or occupational health setting preferred Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work with web-based computer systems, medical software, Occupational Health and Safety software, and Microsoft Office Suite software Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee medical records and comply with Privacy Act, HIPAA, and applicable Government information security requirements Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Support medical surveillance tracking, maintain accurate data entry in Government systems, and assist with preparation of required reports Schedule all appointments for medical surveillance and pre/post-employment physicals Maintain medical and administrative files, organize records, and prepare medical records for archiving after employees leave the agency Order medical and office supplies and coordinate inventory tracking as directed by the Lead Nurse Finalize and distribute reports received from the Lead Nurse and Occupational Health Unit personnel Organize and support health and wellness events, initiatives, and educational activities Support Occupational Health Unit operations during surge events, emergency response activities, or special Government initiatives as required Work collaboratively with Occupational Health Unit staff to support efficient clinic operations and employee services Perform other duties as assigned The Medical Assistant shall wear professional medical attire at all times while within the facility #CB Responsibilities include supporting medical surveillance programs, scheduling and coordinating occupational health examinations, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting, organizing wellness initiatives, supporting Occupational Health Unit operations, and assisting with surge or emergency response activities as required.
