\n Senior Accounting Manager, Accounting & Finance Department\n Heartland Dental Care\n Senior Accounting Manager, Accounting & Finance Department\nIndianapolis, INAs a Senor Accounting Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:Oversight of a team of individuals who ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting policiesDirectly supervise and develop team members through coaching, performance management, workload prioritization, goal setting, and ongoing feedbackIdentification and management of process improvement initiatives including leveraging emerging AI technologiesBusiness thought leader drawing the correlation between results and operational processesLead and/or act as a subject matter expert in accounting systems (S4 Hana Public Cloud & Blackline)Review account reconciliations for completeness and accuracyAnalyze fluctuations in balances over multiple time periods, providing commentary with applicable supportCoordinate account reconciliation summaries for presentation to managementPartner with technical accounting group to ensure processes are updated to reflect changes in policyPrepare footnote disclosures in accordance with GAAP where applicableBuild and maintain relationships with internal and external partnersAssist in coordination of annual audits, quarterly reviews and ad-hoc reviews as necessary Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline 7+ years' experience in accounting industry Experience within the retail and or healthcare space is a plusIn-depth understanding of US GAAP as it relates to job responsibilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Suite, SAP and Blackline Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environmentThe current working arrangements for this role consist of remote working.
