Counselors create rapport with students using interpersonal techniques such as active listening, expressions of empathy, demonstrating positive regard and empowerment, providing clear and accurate information, using questioning, challenging, and reflecting techniques, etc. Facilitation and Coordination: Serving as a liaison between Chairs, faculty, and various administrative offices such as the Registrar's Office, Admissions, Bursar, and Financial Aid, under the supervision of the Senior Director for Graduate Advisement or designee.
