<h2>Job Description</h2> The Undergraduate Academic Advisor provides comprehensive academic advising and student support services to prospective, admitted, and enrolled undergraduate students. The Advisor guides students through academic planning, degree requirements, institutional policies, and personal challenges that impact academic success. The‌ ‌Academic‌ ‌Advisor‌ ‌is‌ ‌committed‌ ‌to‌ ‌being‌ ‌accessible‌ ‌to‌ ‌ students,‌ especially‌ ‌during‌ ‌peak‌ ‌advising‌ ‌cycles. This position plays a critical role in student retention, progression, and graduation by fostering informed decision-making and maintaining a student-centered approach aligned with University goals and values. Priority will be given to applications received by February 15. REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to advising.</li><li>Demonstrated success in new-student initiatives, such as yield strategies, orientation programming, or first-year experience design.</li><li>Experience developing and executing student engagement initiatives, including applied business learning, case competitions, student events, and co-curricular programming.</li><li>Knowledge of enrollment management strategies, student data analytics, or CRM systems supporting recruitment and retention.</li><li>Experience collaborating with campus units, such as admissions, academic advising, career services, and student within business education or higher-education organizations.</li></ul> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Will manage projects and supervise the work of student employees and graduate assistant(s).</li></ul> ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Academic Advising & Student Support<ul><li>Meet daily with prospective students, accepted students, and currently enrolled students to provide academic balancing University policies and stakeholder needs.</li><li>Ensure students are progressing toward degree completion and maintaining minimum academic standards, including required grades and GPA.</li><li>Track, monitor, and support students on academic probation, including documentation, intervention planning, and follow-up.</li><li>Perform degree audits for all assigned cohort students to ensure eligibility for graduation and release of diplomas.</li><li>Assist in coordination of applied projects and experiential learning opportunities for students.</li></ul> Orientation, Admissions & Recruitment Support<ul><li>Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of new student orientation, including scheduling, content development, and collaboration with campus partners.</li><li>Meet with prospective and admitted students to explain academic programs, degree pathways, and institutional expectations.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the Admissions Office, as needed, to coordinate campus tours, meetings with Admissions Counselors, and recruitment-related activities.</li><li>Assist with prospective student events like (e.g. School of Business Day), new student orientation and New Hounds Days.</li></ul> Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate and timely student records in advising, student information, and degree audit systems.</li><li>Ensure confidential student and faculty records are protected and not compromised.</li><li>Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation related to advising, academic progress, and student outcomes.</li><li>Support institutional policies, procedures, accreditation requirements, and compliance standards.</li></ul>Collaboration & Institutional Support<ul><li>Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to support student success and resolve complex academic situations.</li><li>Participate in meetings, training, and professional development activities.</li><li>Contribute as
