Zuora Systems Analyst

This is a 6+ month contract position for a Zuora Systems Analyst, based remotely in the United States. You will configure and operate the Zuora billing and revenue platform, ensuring accurate financial data flow and regulatory compliance across sales, billing, revenue, and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure revenue recognition rules within Zuora to define how and when revenue is recognized (over time vs. all at once)
• Connect and integrate data flows from sales tools into Zuora Billing, through Zuora Revenue, and into downstream accounting systems such as Workday
• Monitor error queues and workbenches to identify and resolve stuck transactions, invoices, and adjustments
• Support month-end financial close by running automated revenue jobs and correcting posting errors
• Write custom SQL and ZOQL queries to locate missing data and build revenue reports
• Gather requirements from finance teams and translate accounting rules into detailed system designs and configurations
• Test new features and configurations before deployment to production
• Pull and review audit logs to verify system compliance with financial regulations including SOX and ASC 606

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue platforms
• Proficiency in SQL and ZOQL query writing
• Experience with revenue recognition concepts and standards (ASC 606)
• Familiarity with financial close processes and month-end reconciliation
• Experience integrating billing or revenue systems with accounting platforms
• Understanding of SOX compliance and audit requirements
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data and system errors in a timely manner
