Wingate Management Company is seeking a hands-on Working Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at State Hulett in Schenectady, NY. We welcome candidates with maintenance experience in apartment communities, nursing homes, senior living facilities, student housing, hotels, commercial buildings, and other facilities maintenance environments.

What You'll Do
- Perform and oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
- Troubleshoot and complete repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Coordinate maintenance requests, apartment turnovers, and routine property inspections.
- Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and support to maintenance team members.
- Prioritize work orders and ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained property for residents and staff.
What We're Looking For
- Previous hands-on maintenance experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, or facilities maintenance.
- Strong general repair and troubleshooting skills, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and lead by example.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- A dependable, team-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
- Apartment maintenance experience is a plus, but not required. We value transferable skills and welcome candidates from a variety of maintenance backgrounds.
