A Day in the Role

Your mornings start with a focused territory plan: prioritized outreach, strategic follow-ups, and review of your pipeline. Midday, you’re on-site with business owners, HR leaders, and hiring managers—listening, advising, and presenting tailored staffing strategies. Afternoons are spent collaborating with our recruiting team to align top talent to client needs, logging results in the CRM, and tracking your metrics. Evenings may include a chamber mixer or industry event to keep your network strong.

What You’ll Tackle

• Hunt for net-new accounts via outbound calling, networking, referrals, and targeted research.
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers—owners, HR professionals, and hiring managers.
• Lead discovery meetings, site visits, and presentations to diagnose workforce needs.
• Design and propose customized staffing and workforce solutions.
• Own and advance a sales pipeline: generate, qualify, and consistently follow up on opportunities.
• Build and execute territory and account development plans to hit growth targets.
• Partner with recruiters to ensure smooth placements and high client satisfaction.
• Expand existing accounts through proactive service and relationship management.
• Represent Express at networking events, job fairs, and industry associations.
• Maintain accurate activity, notes, and forecasts within the CRM.
• Track KPIs and report on sales performance and results.
• Stay current on local labor market trends and industry changes.
• Meet and exceed activity, revenue, and profitability goals.

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years in business development, outside sales, staffing/recruiting, or other client-facing roles.
• Demonstrated success winning new business and nurturing client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Self-starter with a competitive, results-oriented drive.
• Comfort with cold outreach, networking, and prospecting.
• Ability to work independently and thrive on a collaborative team.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

• Background in staffing, workforce solutions, recruiting, HR services, or B2B sales.
• Familiarity with the Chandler/Phoenix market.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Additional Earnings

• Uncapped commission structure
• Realistic first-year earnings of $75,000 - $100,000+
