Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program, we help out-of-school youth and young adults ages 14-24 access educational opportunities, employment training, career development, and supportive services that promote long-term success and economic stability. Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program, we help out-of-school youth and young adults ages 14-24 access educational opportunities, employment training, career development, and supportive services that promote long-term success and economic stability.About the RoleAs a WIOA Case Manager, you will help young people overcome barriers to education and employment while building the skills, confidence, and support systems needed for long-term success. Working closely with youth, families, employers, schools, and community partners, you will provide individualized guidance and connect participants to critical resources and opportunities.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is relationship-focused, highly organized, and passionate about helping young adults achieve their educational and career goals. Successful candidates are adaptable, resourceful, and committed to empowering youth through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.What You'll DoConduct intake assessments, develop individualized achievement plans, and build trusting relationships with youth participants.Support youth in achieving employment, educational, and career goals through coaching, mentoring, and case management services.Connect participants to community resources and supportive services related to employment, education, housing, mental health, and other life domains.Coordinate services with families, schools, employers, mentors, and community partners to create strong support networks.Assist youth with employment readiness, credential attainment, job placement, and career development opportunities.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in program databases and ensure compliance with funding and reporting requirements.Who We're Looking ForRequiredBachelor's degree in a Human Services field; OR High School Diploma/GED with at least three years of related experience working with youth.Valid Illinois driver's license.Reliable personal vehicle and proof of automobile insurance.Strong organizational, time-management, documentation, and computer skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screenings.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse youth populations.PreferredExperience working in trauma-informed environments serving youth and families.Knowledge of Positive Youth Development and strengths-based service approaches.Experience conducting outreach, recruitment, or community engagement activities.Experience in workforce development, employment services, case management, or youth programming.Familiarity with community resources and workforce systems within the Chicagoland area.Position Requirements & Work EnvironmentWork Location: South Shore Campus, 1818 E. 71st Street, Chicago, IL, and other Lawrence Hall program locations.Travel/Driving: Frequent travel throughout the Chicago area using a personal vehicle to meet with youth, employers, schools, and community partners.Schedule: Full-time position with flexibility to work daytime, evening, and occasional weekend hours as needed.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform verbal and protective crisis interventions, including kneeling and returning to a standing position without assistance.Work Environment: Combination of community-based work, field-based case management, and onsite programming.Other Position Requirements: Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with team members and community partners.Compensation and BenefitsWe care about the well-being of our employees and are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes:Salary: $42,800-$45,000 annually.
