Compensation: Salary Range $75,000 - $90,000 with 2 weeks PTO, Performance Bonuses, Wine Club Signing Bonus, Health Ins TBD, Wine Discounts

Located on the bustling Chestnut Street in the heart of the Marina, we are a vibrant, independent hybrid business: a cozy neighborhood wine bar, a curated retail wine shop, and home to a thriving 750-member Wine Club. Currently run by the owners and a dedicated, tight-knit team of 10 staff we are ready to bring on our an Assistant Manager to help us lead daily operations, maintain our high standards of hospitality, and further grow our thriving Wine Club.
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on manager who loves wine, people, and organization. You won't just be sitting in an office you will be the face of our floor during busy shifts, the coordinator behind our major wine club pickups, and the leader who keeps our small team motivated. This role bridges the gap between high-volume hospitality, organized retail management, and subscription logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Floor Leadership & Hospitality:Lead floor shifts on busy nights, ensuring excellent guest experiences, handling customer feedback, and maintaining our neighborhood vibe.
- Team Management:Schedule, train, and mentor our team of 10 shift employees. Build a positive workspace and manage daily shift operations.
- Wine Club Operations:Manage the logistics for our 750+ member Wine Club, including selling wineclub memberships, coordinating monthly/quarterly allocations, handling member communications, organizing pickups, and working to retain members.
- Retail & Inventory Control:Oversee retail shop displays, manage physical inventory counts, place vendor orders, and ensure our POS system is accurate.
- Daily Operations:Handle opening/closing procedures, and coordinate with the owners on business goals and promotions.
What We re Looking For
- Experience:2+ years of management experience in a wine bar, restaurant, or retail wine environment.
- Wine Knowledge:Strong passion for and knowledge of wine (Sommelier certification or WSET credentials are a plus, but practical experience and a great palate matter most).
- Multi-Tasker:Proven ability to balance multiple revenue streams (bar, retail, and subscription clubs).
- Tech Savvy:Comfortable using Revel POS systems, wine club management software, and Google tools.
- Leadership Style:A "lead-by-example" attitude. You are happy to open bottles, bus tables, and chat with regulars alongside your staff.
