Waterjet / Laser Operator & CAD Technician

We're seeking a hands-on CAD Technician / Waterjet & Laser Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in San Diego. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical drafting and working directly with production equipment.

You'll use AutoCAD to create and modify drawings, prepare files for production, and operate industrial cutting equipment including waterjet and laser systems. This position offers the opportunity to expand your CAD skills while supporting products used by military and commercial customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings
• Convert DWG files into DXF files for machine production
• Prepare and upload programs for waterjet and laser cutting equipment
• Operate industrial waterjet, laser, CNC, and fabrication equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production documents
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Perform machine setup, basic troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
• Assist with foam fabrication and production projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet customer deadlines
