Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse and Material Handling Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of receiving, shipping, inventory management, logistics, and warehouse layout. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a keen eye for process improvement, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Manager will develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), performance KPIs, and maintain seamless material flow to production while ensuring a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. The role involves close coordination with warehouse staff, purchasing, production, and QA teams to support manufacturing objectives and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

• Maintain an accurate and timely receiving process with a goal of processing all inbound shipments within 24 hours.

• Supervise, align, and motivate warehouse personnel to meet production schedules and material delivery requirements.

• Administer probationary and annual performance reviews, and provide regular coaching and feedback.

• Work closely with purchasing to schedule deliveries and ensure timely reordering of materials and supplies.

• Develop, implement, and optimize warehouse control procedures and best practices to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other tools to track inventory turnover, assess valuation, and monitor performance trends.

• Design and maintain an efficient warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and product flow.

• Collaborate with production to ensure consistent inventory availability throughout the manufacturing process.

• Recruit, onboard, and mentor warehouse staff on SOPs, safety protocols, technology usage, and KPI alignment.

• Ensure compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations and standards.

• Communicate inventory and receiving status with key stakeholders and proactively identify risks and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, and layout optimization.

• Strong leadership experience managing warehouse or inventory-related teams.

• Proficiency in WMS systems and inventory tracking software.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities.
