Description

The key responsibilities of the VP Finance include:

  • Own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis.
  • Develop pricing models and prepare financial analysis for government contracts.
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Partner with ownership and operational leaders to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team while improving financial processes and systems.

Profile

The successful VP Finance is:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
  • Prior experience within manufacturing and production environments required.
  • Strong background supporting government contracts; defense industry experience highly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and strategic financial planning.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing accounting teams.
  • Confident communicator who can influence and build relationships with senior leaders and strong personalities.
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment and drive business performance.
  • Experience improving processes, controls, reporting, and financial operations.
