Description:
The Hardware Technician provides Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote supports for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. Conducts sites surveys; assesses and documents current site configuration and user requirements. Analyzes existing requirements and prepares specifications for hardware acquisitions. Develops hardware installation schedules. Prepares drawings documenting configuration changes at each site. Prepares site installation and test reports. Trains site personnel in proper use of hardware. Builds specialized interconnecting cables. 

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities:
  • Installing, operating, maintaining, repairing and modifying end user devices such as personal computers, thin-clients, network interface cards, phones, monitors, printers, telephones, printers, pagers, and radios.
  • Performing a variety of maintenance and technical support on devices, integrated systems and subsystems, and install/configure software at customer and/or field locations. 
  • Troubleshooting and solving technical issues related to end user equipment hardware and software
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.

Required Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
  • High school/GED and a minimum of four (4) years of experience. Equivalent education and experience: Associate’s degree and two (2) years of experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 Certification

Required Technical Skills:
  • Highly skilled in installing, repairing and troubleshooting VTC devices and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics
  • Able to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in working with end-users remotely
  • Familiar with Active Directory security and policies
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding communication skills to relate with team members and support workers
 
Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 (Annually)
Annual Compensation Figures listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; annual hours worked; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location.
