Our clients come to us in the aftermath of tragic accidents, seeking not just legal representation, but a beacon of hope for their future.PurposeWettermark Keith's Veterans Disability Practice is expanding and seeking to hire a VA Attorney (entry-level or experienced) with a strong interest in veterans disability law. Our veterans practice has been built over more than a decade and is structured, production‑driven, and focused on delivering meaningful results for disabled veterans nationwide.Candidates who are able to be based in person in our Birmingham office are preferred. However, this position may be performed remotely for experienced candidates who are already proficient in VA disability law. Entry‑level attorneys looking for a remote position should expect structured, hands‑on training in Birmingham before transitioning to a remote schedule.ResponsibilitiesThis is a hands‑on advocacy role involving ownership of a substantial VA disability caseload. The position includes:Reviewing VBMS and claims files in detailIdentifying legal errors and viable theories of entitlementDrafting and filing appeals and written argumentsPreparing Higher‑Level Reviews and Board appealsCommunicating directly with clientsManaging deadlines and workflow independentlyThis role is best suited for someone who enjoys producing strong written work efficiently and taking responsibility for outcomes.QualificationsJ.D. requiredActive bar license in at least one state requiredAdmission to CAVC a plus (not required)Entry‑level candidates will be considered if they demonstrate strong writing ability and a serious commitment to veterans disability practiceIdeal CandidateOrganized and deadline-drivenComfortable managing a meaningful caseloadSelf‑motivated and accountableValues efficiency and measurable outputGenuinely committed to representing veteransExperience in VA disability practice is strongly preferred, but high‑performing attorneys new to the field will be considered.Compensation & GrowthCompetitive compensation commensurate with experienceClear expectations and measurable production standardsAutonomy with supportOpportunity for growth as the practice expands#J-18808-Ljbffr
