The consultant will work closely with finance, tax, and ERP teams to design, configure, test, and deploy indirect tax solutions, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions while supporting tax automation initiatives within Oracle Cloud ERP environments. Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Vertex Tax Technology Consultant – EMEA VAT / Oracle Cloud ERP Integration for their San Francisco, CA/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Lead Vertex implementation and enhancement projects.
• Configure Vertex tax engines to support EMEA tax requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable tax technology solutions.
• Support VAT, GST, and other indirect tax processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with finance, tax, and ERP teams to ensure accurate tax determination and reporting.
• Design and test interfaces between Vertex and Oracle ERP applications.
• Participate in solution architecture, SIT, UAT, deployment, and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot tax calculation and compliance issues.
• Develop functional specifications, configuration documentation, and testing artifacts.
• Ensure tax processes align with evolving regulatory requirements and business objectives.
• Lead and support Vertex tax solution implementations with a strong focus on EMEA taxation requirements.
• The consultant will work closely with finance, tax, and ERP teams to design, configure, test, and deploy indirect tax solutions, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions while supporting tax automation initiatives within Oracle Cloud ERP environments.

 
Requirements:

• Strong handson Vertex implementation experience.
• Deep knowledge of EMEA taxation and indirect tax regulations.
• Experience implementing tax solutions within Oracle Cloud ERP environments.
• Strong understanding of VAT and crossborder tax requirements.
• Experience working with multinational organizations and global tax processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials.
• Experience supporting global tax transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of tax reporting and compliance automation.
• Prior consulting experience in finance and tax technology implementations.
