Job Summary (Senior UI/UX Developer NCDHHS Child Support Services)

- Lead the transformation of a legacy mainframe Child Support system to a modern, web-based platform.
- Design and implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Replace legacy JSP screens with intuitive, WCAG-compliant UI.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, UI components, and maintain design systems.
- Utilize AI-driven tools (e.g., Figma AI, Uizard, Canva AI, ChatGPT, CoPilot) to enhance UI/UX design and automate workflows.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate UI with RESTful APIs.
- Optimize UI performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with UAT and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all UI components meet accessibility (WCAG) standards.
- Contribute to modernization efforts and continuous process improvement.
- Preferred: Experience modernizing legacy systems, human-centered design, DevOps (Git, CI/CD), and Agile methodologies.
