    Job Title: Trusts and Estates Attorney

    Location: Irvine, CA 92618

    Salary/Payrate: OPEN (DOE), bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

    Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days WFH after ramp up, anchor days Tueseday and Thursday)

    Term: Permanent / Fulltime

    Bachelor’s degree required: YES

    Bonus Eligibility: Quarterly performance bonuses

    Referral Fee: $2,500 - should your referral start with our client

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We are currently seeking an Attorney to focus on both foundational estate planning and advanced estate and tax planning matters for the families we serve. This role offers meaningful client interaction and the opportunity to develop deep technical expertise while working alongside experienced practitioners.

    Responsibilities

    • Handle advanced estate and income tax planning matters for high‑net‑worth clients
    • Draft highly customized foundational and advanced estate planning documents
    • Meet with clients and provide guidance on the design and structure of revocable living trusts and irrevocable gifting trusts
    • Research estate planning, tax, and related legal issues
    • Evaluate, update, and coordinate template documents, correspondence, and internal procedures
    • Work closely with the Firm’s dedicated marketing team, which will actively support you in developing and growing your practice
    • Meet a reasonable annual billable‑hour expectation of 1,600 hours


    Required

    • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar in good standing
    • Minimum of three years of experience practicing estate planning
    • Strong drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail
    • Solid knowledge of estate and gift tax principles

     

    Preferred

    • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning, or a background in tax law
    • Broad understanding of corporate matters affecting closely held businesses
    • Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with clients and firm leadership; strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to client needs
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
    • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and openness to supporting a range of project types as firm needs evolve
