Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trust & Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and challenging legal environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Trusts and Estates, Probate Law, and possess exceptional communication skills. They will be required to draft legal documents, manage their time effectively, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. The role demands a minimum of 5+ years of experience within the legal sector, specifically in Trusts and Estates.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in all aspects of Trust and Estate administration.
2. Prepare and file probate court documents: notice of hearings, proofs of service, guardian ad litem petitions, etc.
3. Assist with the preparation of federal estate tax returns and estate accountings.
4. Manage communication with clients, courts, and other professionals.
5. Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, estate plans, and probate applications.
6. Assist with asset valuations and the distribution of assets.
7. Conduct legal research and compile data as requested by attorneys.
8. Maintain an organized and up-to-date case management system.
9. Coordinate and manage deadlines, appointments, and schedules.
10. Ensure all legal documents and processes are compliant with state laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Trust & Estate Paralegal.
2. Paralegal certification or equivalent is required.
3. Extensive knowledge of Trusts and Estates, and Probate Law.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Experience in drafting legal documents related to trusts, estates, and probate law.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. Strong research skills and the ability to interpret legal documents.
10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
