Leading global law firm is seeking a senior-level Legal Assistant to support its Trial team in Denver. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced environment and work closely with attorneys on complex litigation matters.
Position Overview
The Legal Assistant provides high-level administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys, ensuring efficient case management, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination across deadlines, filings, and client communications.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation & Administrative Support
Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys and act as a liaison for clients
Prepare, proofread, and format pleadings, discovery, briefs, and correspondence
File documents in federal and state courts (e-filing)
Calendar & Docket Management
Manage attorney calendars, track deadlines, and coordinate litigation schedules
Maintain docketing accuracy and proactively follow up on key dates
Billing & Time Entry
Enter and review attorney time entries for accuracy and compliance
Assist with billing by reviewing/editing proformas and sending invoices
Case & Document Management
Maintain organized electronic and physical client files
Manage incoming/outgoing mail and document processing
Coordinate document storage within document management systems
Coordination & Logistics
Schedule meetings, coordinate conference rooms, and manage travel logistics
Process expense reimbursements, vendor invoices, and administrative requests
Support CLE tracking and registrations for attorneys
Qualifications
Required
Minimum of 7 years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm setting (10+ years' experience preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and filing procedures.
Experience with e-filing systems.
Preferred Experience
Strong experience supporting trial attorneys in active litigation matters.
Experience working in a large or national law firm environment.
Background in complex civil litigation, ideally in one or more of the following areas:
Commercial litigation
Intellectual property (IP) litigation
Class actions
Financial or securities litigation
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
Experience with document management systems (Net Documents or similar)
Experience with docketing programs (Compulaw or similar)
Experience with timekeeping programs (Intapp or similar)
Experience with legal billing software (3E or similar)
Key Skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to take feedback well and not repeat mistakes
Excellent communication and client service abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
