    Position Summary
    Traverse Advanced Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and hands-on EMT / Paramedic and or an LPN/ RN to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in supporting both our Advanced Wound Care Clinic and Hyperbaric Medicine Program. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, enjoys direct patient care, and is willing to assist wherever needed to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

    This position will work closely with providers, nurses, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality wound care services in both clinic and mobile settings. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Medical Assistant will support administrative and operational functions to ensure efficient daily clinic operations.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Clinical Responsibilities
    Room patients and prepare them for provider evaluations and treatments.
    Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and chief complaints.
    Assist providers during wound assessments, procedures, debridement's, dressing changes, and treatments.
    Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies before and after patient visits.
    Perform room turnover and ensure treatment areas remain clean, stocked, and organized.
    Assist with wound photography, measurements, and documentation as directed.
    Educate patients on treatment plans, wound care instructions, and follow-up appointments.
    Support providers during mobile wound care visits when applicable.
    Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
    Maintain infection prevention and safety protocols.

    Hyperbaric Medicine Support
    Provide support to the Hyperbaric Medicine team during periods of increased patient volume or staff coverage needs.
    Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and documentation as directed by licensed clinical staff.
    Prepare hyperbaric treatment areas and ensure equipment and supplies are readily available.
    Support patient scheduling and workflow coordination within the hyperbaric department.

    Administrative Responsibilities
    Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally.
    Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
    Verify patient information and update electronic medical records.
    Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining medical documentation.
    Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and medical records as needed.
    Support clinic communication with patients, providers, referral sources, and community partners.
    Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic projects.
    Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required
    High School Diploma or GED.
    EMT / Paramedic License

    LPN / RN License
    Current CPR/BLS Certification.
    Strong computer and electronic medical record (EMR) skills.
    Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.
    Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for mobile clinic services when needed.

    Preferred
    Experience in wound care, surgical, specialty care, or outpatient clinic settings.
    Experience supporting hyperbaric medicine services.
    Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
    Experience with mobile healthcare services.

    Physical Requirements
    Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday.
    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
    Ability to assist patients with mobility needs when appropriate.
    Ability to work in both office and clinical treatment environments.
