Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg/Trauma RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center requiring telemetry experience and 2+ years of RN experience.

Details

• Acute care setting in a Trauma/Med Surg telemetry unit at a Level 1 trauma facility
• Patient ratios typically 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Straight night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• May float to similar Med Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN not required
• Trauma/Med Surg or Telemetry experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide individualized nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to plan and coordinate patient care
• Perform patient assessments, triage, education, and delegation of care within scope of practice
• Promote a safe care environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates with prior employment at any Sanford Health facility must disclose this for review, and must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Local candidates may be considered, though not all departments accept local candidates
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
