Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Ortho/Neuro unit on night shift, requiring 1 year of recent experience and an active SD or compact RN license.

Details

  • Acute care setting in a Level 1 Trauma facility on the Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg unit
  • Typical patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
  • Straight night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and holiday required
  • Floating required to any Med-Surg or Telemetry unit within scope of practice
  • EPIC EMR used

Requirements

  • Active SD or compact state RN license required
  • BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
  • 1 year of recent RN experience required
  • BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

  • Provide individualized nursing care utilizing the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs
  • Educate and provide feedback to patients and families regarding health status and care plans
  • Promote a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Badge in and out required at facility
  • Local candidates welcome to apply
  • Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
  • Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
