Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position on nights, requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting, mapped to Med Surg B, within a hospital environment
• Cardiac patient population including CHF, congenital heart conditions, LVADs, angioplasty, dysrhythmias, heart transplant, A fib, cardiogenic shock, CAD, and chest pain
• Manages vasoactive drips such as Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Cardizem, and Milrinone, along with Lasix, Bumex, Heparin, and insulin therapies
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of experience in the specialty within the past 3 years
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis and insulin drip management required
• Must pass a proctored rhythm identification test upon starting (non-multiple choice, two attempts allowed)

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if near a holiday, with only one holiday request allowed
