Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step Down / Intermediate Care / PCU setting
• Monitor and assess patients requiring close cardiac and neurological observation
• Perform and interpret cardiac rhythm identification as required by the unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of IMC/PCU/Step Down experience within the past 3 years
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition skills (candidates will be required to pass a proctored, non-multiple-choice rhythm identification test upon start)
• Experience in a high-acuity intermediate or progressive care environment
