Schedule

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Full-time schedule: 36 hours/week
• Every 3rd weekend
• Rotating holiday schedule

‍⚕️ Patient Ratios

• AM: 1:3 or 1:4
• PM: 1:4 or 1:5
• Ratios may be supported by patient care technicians, although the unit typically operates with RN-based care and no techs.

Required Skills

Must have:

• BLS
• ACLS
• Advanced assessment skills
• Strong critical-thinking skills
• Vasoactive drip management
• Telemetry/ cardiac monitoring experience

• Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannula
• Alaris IV pumps
• Kangaroo feeding pumps
• New cardiac monitors allowing visualization of cardiac rhythm in each room

Floating

• Travelers may float to Med-Surg units.
• Floating is part of the staffing model:
  • FT/PT staff float based on rotation.
