Travel RN – Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13 Weeks | 3 shifts per week, every 3rd weekend required | 48 hours guaranteed preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Med Telemetry unit serving renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general med-surg patient populations with a 4–5:1 patient ratio
• Maintain strict documentation compliance related to central lines, Foley catheters, C. diff, and other HAI prevention protocols
• Utilize unit equipment including EKG machines, bladder scanners, Hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis; document in Meditech EBCD
• Participate in Nurse Leader Rounds, including pre- and post-rounds focused on patient experience, safety, and quality measures
• Maintain room tidiness, whiteboard accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards in alignment with unit expectations
• Float to like units (Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, Rehab) as needed per floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry or med-surg patient populations including renal, urology, oncology, or cardiology
• Familiarity with Meditech EBCD documentation system
• Experience with HAI prevention protocols including central line and Foley catheter care
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on patient safety, quality, and communication
