Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 1 year of tele experience and NIH Stroke certification.

Details

• Work in a 36-bed Medical Telemetry unit within a Level 2 trauma center
• Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:5 depending on shift, supported by patient care techs
• 7p-7a night shift schedule
• Uses BiPAP, heated high-flow nasal cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Floating required to MedSurg units
• Rotating holiday schedule required

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience required
• Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Experience managing vasoactive drips required
• Central line or PICC line placement experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• Two professional references required for Missouri placements
• No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide total RN-based bedside care with unit secretaries available 7am-7pm for support
• Participate in bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
• Facility holds Stroke and STEMI Accreditation and is a Certified Bariatric Center
• Designated Education Unit with new cardiac monitors providing in-room rhythm visualization
• Required dress code: charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms, black or charcoal grey jackets
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Positive, team-oriented attitude preferred
